Description:
This piece was born out of pure joy – joy of creating, playing with textures, lines, and all the possibilities that come with mixing media. I worked with watercolors, ink, and watercolor markers, letting the process guide me, without overthinking or overplanning. I just followed where the colors and strokes took me.
The main character of this artwork is a betta fish, also known as a Siamese fighting fish – a truly spectacular creature that, in real life, can shine in colors just as intense and varied as the ones you see here. I didn’t need to invent or exaggerate – nature already gave it all. What I enjoyed most was experimenting with contrast: fine lines, bold colors, layered textures – each detail bringing something new.
The golden circle in the background is painted in antique gold, and it actually shimmers and catches the light – adding life and movement to the image. As the light changes in the room, the artwork changes too, creating a dynamic, living impression.
The image is framed in a classic white frame in vintage style, which complements the bold colors and adds an elegant touch. It’s ready to hang or place wherever you’d like to bring in some color and warmth.
