Made with mixed technique: papier mâché
Sculpture
Size 75 x 50 cm
I want to introduce you to the latest project that is progress.
I will tell you how the whole process looks like in a nutshell:
- first I make a sketch on paper,
- then I assemble the temporary mount on which I will build the sculpture,
- then I create a frame for the sculpture,
- the next step is to encase the frame to give it a preliminary form
- then it’s time to start the real fun, that is, I start sculpting by applying layer after layer of papier mâché.
- once the sculpture is ready I will start assembling the accessories to it. In this case it will be accessories made of brass and mounted on the horse
- the next step will be mounting on the actual base
- and finally painting
As you can see, this is a very labor-intensive and time-consuming process with many details that I left out in this quick diagram.
A very challenging and consuming project. I hope to present it to you in all its glory in a short time.
